Thanksgiving is a wonderful break to spend time with family and friends, enjoy the foods and
festivities of the season, and catch up on research!
While the Library will be closed from 11/25 @ 5pm to 11/29 @ 4pm, our online services will be
available, as will our Ask Andy email assistance.
First off, you need to know that you can easily connect to online resources when you are off campus
by using VPN. Directions can be found here.
To help focus your research, you might exlore resources By Subject.
Search "Dictionaries, Encyclopedias..." to gain a better understanding about your topic.
For current issues such as "Conspiracy Theories" or "Medication Abuse," you might also try
CQ Researcher for useful background
& citation.
JStor, Project Muse
and Lexis-Nexis
are all fantastic full-text resources, but be aware of the date and content limitations.
While our Interlibrary Loan dept will be taking a well-deserved break, they will attend to your
ILL & E-Z Borrow
requests when they return.
Looking ahead, Shadek-Fackenthal will be open (nearly) 24/7 from Dec 8 @ 8am to Dec 20 @ 5pm.
Reserve group study space ASAP, since space is limited and demand is high.
Best of luck as you wrap up semester business, and have a restful Thanksgiving!
