Franklin & Marshall will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, at Common Hour in Mayser Gymnasium on Sept. 8. The event will include a series of personal reminiscences presented by students, faculty members and professional staff, in addition to musical and video offerings.
In advance of Sept. 11, a series of reflections will appear in a special section of the Common Hour website. David Schuyler, the Arthur and Katherine Shadek Professor of Humanities and American Studies, contributes the first entry.
The Common Hour committee invites students, faculty members, professional staff and alumni to share their stories on the site. Items should be no more than 400 words, and can be sent to Director of Publications Jason Klinger at .
The College will also hold its annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. The ceremony will take place at F&M’s September 11 Memorial along the Klauder-Apple Walkway.
