Rise and Shine: Education Without Borders Film Screening and Panel is April 2

Join the eight F&M students who studied and learned at Heritage Academy with the Ware Institute alternative winter break program for a screening of Rise and Shine at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, in the Lisa Bonchek Adams Auditorium in Kaufman Hall. 
 
The film, which profiles a student at Heritage Academy in Ghana and a student at Strawberry Mansion in Philadelphia, highlights the universality of learning and the need for access to quality education worldwide. 
 
A panel and open discussion with follow the film. Panelists include Kwesi Koomson ('97), founder of the Heritage Academy and Art Paynter, Principal at George Washington Elementary school in Lancaster, along with Professor Katherine McLelland, Professor Doug Anthony, and Professor Carla Willard.
