A core component of College House life is the integration of academic pursuits and social endeavors. Brooks College House is proud to celebrate the scholarly achievement of our students. Brooksians represent our College House in every facet of academic interest and are frequently honored with some of the College's highest academic awards and scholarships. Below are the names of the current Rouse Scholars, Marshall Fellows, and Brooks House Scholars.
The Rouse Scholarship, given by Andrew M. Rouse '49, honors two students from the sophomore class each year who have demonstrated "significant scholarly achievement and unusual campus leadership." The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and fees and provides a $2,500 stipend for leadership projects. Four of F&M's six Rouse Scholars for 2013-14 are Brooks House students.
The Marshall Fellows program recognizes demonstrated academic excellence with the goal of creating a cohort of intellectually engages students and to provide support for academic enrichment. For 2013-14, Brooks House students make up 19 of F&M's current Marshall Fellows.
The Brooks House Scholarship program honors Brooks House students who have demonstrated excellence in academic work and community engagement. For 2013-14, Brooks House is proud to honor 19 high-achieving scholars.
