Career Services offers students the opportunity, twice a year, to explore career fields by talking to experts who work in select fields.
In the Spring of 2011, Career Services, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Writer's House took a group of students interested in publishing and museums to New York City. The group visited Little, Brown and Company, which has been printing the works of famous authors since 1837. The group also visited MOMA -The Metropolitan Museum of Art- to learn about careers within the museum world. Lunch was spent learning from and networking with regional alumni.
Also in Spring 2011, Career Services and the DC Regional Alumni Chapter co-sponsored a trek to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for 30 F&M students to learn about internships and careers in Government and Public Policy. The trip featured a tour of the U.S. Capitol and an alumni networking luncheon.
