F&MConsults is a one semester, one credit community based learning internship for credit seminar, for which you will earn a grade.
F&MConsults includes an internship component whose goal is to provide a local community client with timely and high-quality research and analysis on areas of uncertainty. Student participants will work directly with an internal “champion” from the client organization and will work together in order to establish a team environment that will strengthen the connection between the experiential and academic components of the internship.
Class meetings involve discussion of key strategy concepts, both from readings and from client input, data gathering and analysis approaches, and a team project. Students will work in teams to research and make recommendations. Student projects will involve presentations, an extensive written document, smaller writing assignments, and discussion. Evaluation will include input from clients, teammates, and instructor.

“To have an internship where we took part in the strategic planning of a nearby hospital was very gratifying. I felt a deep sense of being involved in the community.” – Nadia Daneshvar ‘11
