FS Cohort Advisement

FS Cohort Advisement and Support The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life provides advisement, coaching and peer leader learning support. A student leader cohort structure has been established and meets bi-weekly and/or monthly with students for training, coaching, advisement, and community leader development experiences.

Presidents ForumPresidents engage together in a Forum structure for dialogue, education, and communication. Standards & Values: Risk management, values, standards, and ritual/ceremonies student leaders meet tri-weekly  Civic Engagement:Philanthropy, Service, and Event Planning student leaders meet tri-weekly and receive assistance and dual support from the F&M Ware Institute
New Member Education/Membership Development: New Member Educators and Membership Development student leaders meet bi-weekly with Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Public Relations & Media: Public Relations, Media and Social Media student leaders meet bi-weekly for advisement support, skills development, and community communication. The cohort also receives support from the F&M Communications Department Alumni & Alumnae Relations: Alumni relations, historian student leaders meet and receive monthly assistance. Dual support is provided by the F&M Alumni Relations Office.
Academic Success  Scholarship and Academic student leaders meet Monthly Women’s Membership Recruitment: Membership Recruitment student leaders meet bi-weekly to plan organize and facilitate opportunities for membership exploration. Men’s Membership Recruitment: Membership Recruitment student leaders meet bi-weekly to plan organize and facilitate opportunities for membership exploration.
Finance & Fundraising:Treasurers, finance, and fundraising student leaders meet 3 times a semester to communicate, consider join buying and purchasing, and advisement support.
