Associate Dean for International Programs Sue Mennicke will receive the IES Abroad Professional Development Award at the group's annual conference on Oct. 17. It's one of two national awards Chicago-based IES (The Institute for the International Education of Students) presents. Mennicke served on the institute's academic council, curriculum committee and other governance panels, and chaired a complex overseas program review.

Professor of Psychology Michael Penn was selected this summer as a member of the Transylvania Seminar, a competitive program at Transylvania University, Lexington, Ky.
