Gallery Spaces

The Dana Gallery

  • The Dana Gallery
The Dana Gallery was named to recognize the contribution of The Charles A. Dana Foundation toward the completion of the Steinman College Center.  The gallery features solo and group exhibitions of contemporary artists as well as traveling exhibits.  A frequently changing exhibition schedule includes contemporary, historical and multicultural materials.  The focus is on the presentation of fine art, with an emphasis on multimedia and three-dimensional work.

The Gibson Gallery

  • Rothman Gallery

The Gibson Gallery is named for former College Trustee Sally Mather Gibson.  The gallery includes classroom space and displays scholarly and artistic work by faculty and students.  With this space, faculty and students are offered a rare opportunity to make public exhibitions a dynamic element of their teaching, learning and research.

The Kneedler Sculpture Garden honors Richard Kneedler '65, P'88, and his 35 years as a faculty member, administrator, and president of Franklin & Marshall College.  As president, he was instrumental in the creation of the arts cluster that includes the Ann and Richard Barshinger Center for Musical Arts, the Phillips Museum of Art and the Roschel Performing Arts Center.

The Nissley Gallery

The Nissley Gallery has been made possible by the generosity of Emily Baldwin Nissley and Thomas W. Nissley '55, major supporters of the recent renovation of The Phillips Museum.  This gallery features the exhibition and interpretation of material from the College's permanent collection, with an emphasis on Pennsylvania decorative art and material culture of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Rothman Gallery

The Rothman Gallery recognizes the generosity of Mildred and Leonard Rothman '41. The gallery's newly expanded space is the largest exhibition venue in the museum. The flexible space, pull-down screens and controlled lighting of this gallery make it ideal for the exhibition of works on paper, photography, textiles, film and digital art.
