Project LAUNCH
Important Program Information
MAY 13-JUNE 15: Apply for Project LAUNCH!
AUGUST 18-23: Program dates
Who Can Apply: Open to first-year students only.
Cost: $200, to be paid upon acceptance into the program. This fee includes room, board and all activities.
Project LAUNCH participants will move into the room they will be staying in during the semester. Upperclassmen assist students and begin acclimating them to the campus. Project LAUNCHers will travel to Camp Shand to begin the program.
A limited number of scholarships for Project LAUNCH are available, based on financial need. By checking the box below you are authorizing the Financial Aid office to release to the Ware Institute your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated on the FAFSA form. You can indicate if you wish to be considered for a scholarship on the application form.
A Sample Day at Camp:
- 8:00: Breakfast
- 8:45: Large Group Ice-Breakers
- 9:15 -11:15: Experiential Education Activities
- 12:00: Lunch
- 12:30 - 3:00: Adventure Activities
- 3:00-5:00: Acceptance Workshop
- 6:00: Dinner
- 7:00: Low Ropes Course
- 8:30: Showers
- 9:15: Campfire, Cabin Time and reflections of the day
- 11:00: Lights out
