Bone Marrow Donor Drive

DATE:   April, 2012
TIME:    Noon-6 pm
LOCATION:  Booth Ferris, Steinman College Center

We partner with DKMS Americas, a bone marrow donor center that works to expand the Be The Match Registry, and Racing to Register, a non-profit organization started by F&M alumus Tom Kramer '89.  Tom uses endurance sports as a platform to inspire people to become a member of the national registry.

In 2011, over 200 F&M students and Lancaster residents came out to get swabbed. We even had a match!

If you would like more information, check out the links below or contact or the Ware Institute at 717-291-4164.

The Bone Marrow Donor Drive is an event that occurs during the spring semester, usually in April and encourages and recruits students to get swabbed to enter the Be The Match Registry.
Volunteers for the Bone Marrow Donor Drive Event can assist by planning, organizing, and informing the F&M community about the drive prior to the event and volunteering the day of the event.
Volunteers ALWAYS welcome!!!

Are you interested in the health of Lancaster residents? There are many ways that you can get involved right here in our community! Many organizations need volunteers to help with filing and office tasks. You can also get involved by working with developmentally atypical children. Volunteers are also needed to help with the annual bone marrow donor drive. Through any opportunity, you will enrich the lives of others and learn more about the healthcare needs present in the community.
