Faculty & Staff
Welcome
Having studied topics ranging from philosophy to African American women's literature to Anglo-Saxon and Norse runes, our staff members value the role that a liberal arts education has had in each of our lives. Two of our goals are to help students articulate the special qualities they develop through a liberal arts education and to demonstrate ways they can continue to pursue their intellectual passions after they leave Franklin & Marshall. For some students, this may mean beginning graduate programs in the fall right after they complete their F&M coursework while for others, a place in the non-profit or business fields may be the best fit.
We celebrate and respect your role in students' career exploration and decision-making process. We hope to create a partnership with your department or office. Here are some of the ways we can connect:
Collaborating on Programming - We offer a number of programs each year, from workshops to alumni panels and more. Working with you, we can develop a program specifically covering career options for students majoring in your field.
Internship and Job Postings - We often receive postings directly seeking students from specific majors. Through FandMConnect (our online recruiting system), we send targeted emails to your students about these opportunities. If you hear about any internships or jobs, we would appreciate it if you email them to us so that we can include them in FandMConnect.
Graduate School Information - We recognize that you help students identify specific graduate programs that might be a good fit and may recommend faculty members students should contact. We can complement your work by providing students with tools to the research graduate programs you discuss with them, identify funding opportunities, and navigate the application process from taking the GREs or other exams to writing essays.
