Our Beowulf cluster from PSSC Labs is located in Hackman 224.

  • 36 AMD Opteron Rev F Dual Core 2216 (2.4 GHz) processors (72 equivalent processors in 1 head node and 17 compute nodes)
  • 2.2 TB internal disk storage (SATAII) on head node
  • 3.0 TB external disk storage (USB) on head node
  • 8.192 GB DDR2 RAM per node (2 GB/equivalent processor)
  • 80 GB SATA 7200 RPM disk per node (20 GB/equivalent processor)
  • Fedora Core 4 64-bit Linux OS
  • MGE Evolution 1500VA UPS
  • NETGEAR GS748T 48-port 10/100/1000Mbps gigabit ethernet switch
  • 21600 BTU/hr cooling required (1200 BTU/hr per node)
  • 4 x 20 Amp PDUs
