POSITION: One tenure-track position in the area of Sustainability at the Instructor or Assistant Professor Rank (depending on qualifications), starting July 1, 2010. This hiring initiative is part of a multi-year process to extend and refine one of the College's signature undergraduate programs, including the Department's move into a renovated historical building on campus.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate in any functional area of business or a related social science discipline. We strongly encourage candidates in the social sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, political science) who study sustainability to apply. We understand sustainability to include the natural, social, and economic environments and are seeking individuals whose teaching and research contribute to sustainable business and organizational practices. The College has an environmental studies major and minor and is home to a Sustainability House and the Wohlsen Center for Sustainable Environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Franklin & Marshall College is committed to high quality teaching in a liberal arts environment. Current management and organizations teaching needs include: strategic management, organization behavior, research methods, capstone topics course, accounting, and finance. The teaching load is 3/2 and includes participation in the College's general education program. Capability of teaching our introductory course is expected, and capability of teaching in multiple areas, including social science statistics and research methods, is desirable.

THE COLLEGE: Franklin & Marshall College is a small (approximately 2,000 undergraduates) highly selective, residential liberal arts college with a fully integrated business program.
