If you missed the 1960 class-note of Bob Smith about 50th Reunion, here it is below for your convenience from the Winter 2010 issue of Franklin & Marshall Magazine. Please read it and be encouraged to attend.-- Larry Van Horn, 1960 Communications Chair, February 20, 2010

"Robert Smith writes: 'Along with Dave Fox and 25 other classmates on the Reunion Committee, I've been working to make our 50th Reunion in June the biggest and best ever, We want everyone to make a special effort to be in Lancaster that weekend. It promises to be a great once-in-a lifetime event filed with nostalgia, friendship and happiness. We hope to see you there!'"

Some good news is that Dean Dick Winters will be at our class dinner, Saturday night, June 5, 2010. How about you? It's hard to believe that our diplomas are dated June 8, 1960. Why not plan on being back at Franklin and Marshall fifty years later for reunion events June 4-6, 2010?

Your Reunion Planning Committee members are listed below with telephone numbers or you can click on the name for an e-mail address. The committee has met twice so far this fall, on campus and via conference call, and would welcome your input about our reunion weekend.

Class Historian Phil Blaker is working on an updated version of our class history. Please contact him with items and remembrances to include in that history. He's a member of the 1960 Reunion Planning Committee as is Bob Smith below.

Consider giving, or adding to your current contribution, for our class gift to the college in honor of the 50th Anniversary of our graduation. Contact Special Gift Chair Bob Smith to make a gift. It's not about the money, but don't forget what we can do for the college at this time as a class.

Hospitality Co-Chairs John Smeltzer and Spence Videon, along with Class Reunion Chair Dave Fox, have arranged the holding of a block of rooms for us at the Marriott in Lancaster, which is the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. Our discounted rate is $145 per night, down from the regular rate of $179. The hotel's number is 717-239-1600. Be sure to mention "Franklin & Marshall Reunion." We also have a block of rooms at the Main Stay Suites, owned by classmate George Kratzert. Telephone 717-285-2500 and mention "F&M Reunion" when calling. If you have not already done so, please call now to reserve your rooms for our special celebration.

Our class dinner will be at The Lancaster Marriott. Parking is available at the hotel for a reasonable fee of course.

Meaningful rituals include induction into the Nevonian Society for having graduated 50 years ago. Hopefully, you won't want to miss this campus occasion and its related luncheon on Friday, June 4. There will be other events on campus including a tour of new facilities and a reception near by at President John Fry's house.

Please stay tuned and check this web page often for more news and updates with encouragement to attend and have fun.

Aren't we 1960ers for all seasons?
Can't we celebrate many reasons?
Seeing old classmates is just one.
Please attend and have fun
June four to six, twenty ten,
Beyond your ken?
Certainly not.
So please join the plot!
Our Reunion Fifty
Promises to be nifty.
