Student Spotlight: Faith McCarrick

Internship at the Pennsylvania State Archives

Faith McCarrickMy internship at the Pennsylvania State Archives is a great experience for me to take part in.

I am working in the Arrangement and Description Department where I am learning the practical skills that archivist use on a daily basis. I have already begun to create a finding aid for an unprocessed manuscript group. I have also done some preservation work with documents from the eighteenth century.

Along with the preservation work, I have done work in the archive tower checking the locations of the records and the retrieving materials for researchers and patrons. Each day that I go to the archive I learn something new and am very glad that I got this opportunity.
