"Big Brothers Big Sisters has been an amazing experience. While I thought this would be an excellent learning experience for my Little Sister, it turns out she has just as much to teach me. The program allows a great deal of freedom which enables us to do both academic as well as recreational activities and I think the combination is a great balance that many programs cannot offer. Our relationship continues to grow even stronger each time we meet and I truly hope that my Little Sister and I can keep in touch well beyond the three years we committed to."

"My first impression of my Little Sister was that she was outgoing and friendly, pretty happy-go-lucky. Since day one we have been able to have completely easy going and comfortable conversations and have a good time doing whatever we do together, whether it be craft projects (which we both love), just walking around or playing some sports outside. Despite any of the differences I early noted, we both have a lot in common. We both are very talkative, there barely is a dull moment when we're together. She has a great sarcastic sense of humor, which I love, and see a lot of myself in. We both love to read, and she has borrowed some of my Harry Potter books. I feel as though we learn a lot from each other, and she is helping me in my pursuit of academic excellence and social participation, just as much as I hope am doing for her."
