At F&M we are committed to preventing violence on our campus. Franklin & Marshall's policies on sexual assault and sexual harassment are available in the College Life Manual. Franklin & Marshall College has a Sexual Assault Respone Team made up of healthcare professionals who are available 24 hours a day to assist students and other members of the Franklin & Marshall community with all issues concerning sexual assault. Sexual assault is any sexual contact against a person's will and without consent. Anyone can be a victim of sexual assault--women, men, and children. Sexual assault by a friend, date, partner, or casual acquaintance is the most prevalent form of sexual assault on college campuses.
SEXUAL ASSAULT IS DEFINED AS SEXUAL CONTACT WITHOUT CONSENT AND INCLUDES
| INTENTIONAL UNWANTED TOUCHING |
Either touching the victim or instances when the victim is forced to touch (either directly or through clothing) another person's genitals, breasts, thighs, or buttocks |
| SEXUAL INTERCOURSE | Without consent whether by an acquaintance or a stranger |
| OTHER UNWANTED SEXUAL CONTACT | Oral sex, anal intercourse, or sexual penetration with an object without consent |
