The Benjamin Rush Advisory Council (BRAC) is an advisory council to the President of Franklin & Marshall College. All appointments must be approved by the President of the College. Members of the Benjamin Rush Advisory Council include alumni from a range of class years and disciplines (e.g., medical, veterinary, psychology), six students, faculty, and College staff. The Council is comprised of up to fifteen alumni members and parents of F&M students who are appointed--not elected--and divided according to term of office (staggered three-year terms for continuity). The students on BRAC include two from each of the sophomore, junior, and senior class years. The Pre-Healing Arts Advisor, College Physician, and the Director of Alumni Programs have continuing appointments to BRAC and staff members do not have specific terms of office. Stanley J.
