Research: the origin of Proterozoic anorthosites,
the formation of mafic and composite layered
intrusions, and magma chamber processes
including interactions between coexisting mafic and
silicic magmas. Current focus on the Pleasant Bay
composite layered intrusion (coastal Maine, including
Mount Desert Island).
