The return shuttles leave from the Port Authority every half hour and take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cost is $1 less from LaGuardia, but the other information is essentially the same.
To travel between the New York Port Authority Station and Lancaster, PA: You will need to take a Capital Trailways Bus (
http://www.trailways.com or (800) 444-2877.) This company has 3 buses per day that make this trip. The buses leave the Port Authority station at 8:10 am, 12:30 pm, and 6:00 pm. Currently, the cost of the bus is $38 for a one-way ticket and $68 for a round-trip ticket. The trip takes 3 hours 40 minutes.

Board one of the Amtrak trains going to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. You’ll be looking for trains called either Keystone Service or Pennnsylvanian Service. During the weekdays (Monday-Friday), there are 9 trains that go between NYC and Lancaster. Depending on the service, the travel time will be between 2 hours 55 minutes and 3 hours 12 minutes, but you might need to change trains at Penn Station in Philadelphia. If you do, you’ll have to add in the layover time. (If you don't want to have to transfer in Philadelphia, make sure to pick a train that is direct; that is, one that does not list the Philadelphia Penn Station stop.) You need to get on a Septa Train to 30th Street Station (Philadelphia) from the airport. Septa trains to 30th Station depart the airport every 30 minutes (at 9 minutes after the hour and 39 minutes after the hour.) The current cost of the ticket is $7 (one way.)

BWI is about 90 miles (147 KM) from Lancaster.
