Trustees & FPS attend interactive Celebrating Scholarship Reception

Organized by Franklin & Marshall's College Library and co-sponsored by the offices of the President and Provost, the 2020 Celebrating Scholarship reception held on Feb. 27 and saw a number of changes in its 18th consecutive year.

This year it was scheduled to coincide with Board of Trustees Weekend and more than 10 members of the Board were in attendance. President Barbara Altmann and Provost Cameron Wesson offered congratulatory remarks to the members of faculty and professional staff.gathered in the Academy Room of the Shadek-Fackenthal Library, where a slideshow displayed information about the 150 submitted works and a table contained copies of the 11 books published by faculty in 2019.

In addition to the traditional display of works in the lobby of SFL, this year a website was created so that everyone would have an opportunity to explore the wonderful work being produced by members of our faculty and professional staff.

The works was projected onto the large, interactive screens in the Library Classroom so attendees could scroll through the sections devoted to Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and works by members of the professional staff. The website, Celebrating Scholarship,  is accessible to everyone, but access to the full text links is limited to F&M students and members of FPS.
