A Proffittable Idea, Times Says

  • Trex Proffitt

The Sunday New York Times Magazine included Trex Proffitt Jr.’s idea for a local stock exchange in its 8th annual Year in Ideas issue.

“It looks like I hit a nerve,” said Proffitt, assistant professor of organization studies in the Department of Business, Organizations & Society.

Proffitt’s feasibility study has suggested a seven-county local stock exchange would be a good way for local companies to access capital to grow.

For more information on Proffitt’s local stock exchange, see, Invest Local, Earn Local from the Nov. 13 edition of The Diplomat.
