The Politics of Humanitarianism

Just a reminder that the third talk in our lecture series, Perspectives on Humanitarianism, will take place at 4:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, in the Lisa Bonchek Adams Auditorium, Kaufman Hall.

Didier Fassin, Professor of Anthropology at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton University, and former Vice President of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) will speak on "The Politics of Humanitarianism."

His book "Humanitarian Reason: A Moral History of the Present" won honorable mention for the 2012 Gregory Bateson prize in the Society for Cultural Anthropology.

Please join us for this talk tomorrow afternoon and remind students about it.

There will be two more lectures in this series on March 26 and April 9 at 7 p.m. in Adams Auditorium.
