This summer we will move our website to an off-site host and begin plans for a disaster recovery exchange (DR) with Susquehanna University. These projects should be pretty invisible to you, but in the event of a significant event on campus, having our website hosted elsewhere assures the College would sustain its ability to communicate with the wider world online. The DR exchange, protects our data and systems by replicating data to another location. While not an instantaneous recovery, this would assure we have access to that data to rebuild and restore services in the event of a major event that destroys on campus equipment, like a fire.
