10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Service of Gratitude and Rememberance
This interfaith service, led by the Rev. Richard Fehnel '52, will honor and remember deceased alumni and members of the College community.

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Turkey Hill Experience
More than 75 years ago Turkey Hill started out as a small dairy in southern Lancaster County. Visit the Turkey Hill Experience to learn about the beginnings of the Turkey Hill Dairy Farm and the farmland and towns around it. Mention Franklin & Marshall College's Reunion Weekend to receive a 10% discount on admission and  purchases from the gift shop.

10:30 a.m. Reunion Weekend Golf Outing at Bent Creek Country Club.
Join fellow alumni for an afternoon of golf at one of the area’s best courses, Bent Creek Country Club. This championship golf course was designed by the acclaimed course architect Jay Morrish, who won the Golf Course Architect of the Year award in 1991. The course has been praised for its beautifully-manicured, highly-challenging design. 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Nevonian Society Induction and Luncheon Honoring celebrating F&M's 225th Anniversary
“63, Together Again!” Join the celebration as we honor the 50th Reunion Class of 1963 and observe their induction into the Nevonian Society. The F&M Alumni Association will honor two outstanding alumni; Richard Beam '49 and Jim Hoeschele '59 with Alumni Citations for professional achievement. Fellow Nevonians will regale classmates with their class reflections. Reminiscences of dear old F&M continue as the Blue & White Singers perform the College fight songs, a rousing conclusion to the luncheon and a fitting salute as you begin your Reunion Weekend.

1:30 - 3 p.m.“Hang Tough,” a Documentary Film Honoring Leadership on D-Day.
A documentary film created by Tim Gray, chairman of the WWII Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving the memories of World War II veterans. The foundations slogan – “Educate. Honor. Inspire.” – is the mission statement the guides Gray, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, in his quest to document the people and the stories of World War II.

2 p.m. Self-Guided Tour of Lancaster
You're in the driver's seat. We provide you with a map of Lancaster and you can wander and visit what interests you. Many local historical sites are within easy walking distance. Parking maps are also available.

3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tour of Campus
Alan Caniglia, Senior Associate Dean of the Faculty and Vice Provost for Planning and Institutional Research and Professor of Economics will lead a tour  of Franklin & Marshall College’s beautiful and evolving campus. See New College House; the Patricia E. Harris Center for Business, Government & Public Policy; the Klehr Center for Jewish Life; the Barshinger Life Sciences and Philosophy Building and other campus landmarks on this tour.

5 – 6:30 p.m. Alumni Toast to F&M Faculty and Coaches
This is your time to reconnect with Franklin & Marshall faculty and coaches, both past and present. It is a wonderful occasion for one-on-one conversations. Celebrate, reminisce and take the opportunity to say 'thank you' to the faculty and coaches who meant so much to you.

5 - 8 p.m. F&M "Photo Booth"
Grab your friends and family and drop by the Steinman College Center to take a commemorative photo with a selection of Franklin & Marshall gear and other fun props. You may even get to pose with Ben and John!  Tag your own smartphone snaps with #fandmReunion on Twitter or Instagram to be a part of our social media scrapbook. 

5 – 9 p.m. First Friday in Downtown Lancaster
Lancaster's First Fridays are an exhilarating celebration of the arts! Walk around and explore the 70+ arts venues. You'll find exhibitions, live music, theatrical performances, artist receptions, as well as unique boutiques and outstanding restaurants. First Friday is a great way to experience the beauty of the city and all that the arts community has to offer.

6:30 p.m. All Class Dinner
Join reunion classes; Nevonians to the class of 2008 for dinner under the tent and celebrate your return to campus! Enjoy good food, music by Cliff Starkey – playing music from the 70’s to current day, and conversation. Relax, reconnect with a casual dinner with your classmates.  

7:30 - 9:30 p.m. Night at the North Museum
Just for F&M damilies - after-hours fun! We will provide your children with a special "F&M flashlight" to light your way through the exhibits, collections and planetarium. North Museum staff will be on hand to assist you and to answer all your children's questions. We will even sneak in some snacks.

The Science Factory is one of Lancaster’s newest educational venues. Kids from 3rd to 8th grade will love this hands-on interactive science & technology center. This is not the same old class meeting you are used to – it’s fast-paced, fun and entertaining. Join your Class Parade! Carry your class banner and process with your classmates to the Ann & Richard Barshinger Center for Musical Arts in Hensel Hall for the Alumni Celebration. Bleachers outside of ZeBi will be available for spouses and guests of Reunion alumni. Enjoy the parade from the “F&M parade viewing stands.”

10:30 a.m. - Noon President Daniel R. Porterfield welcomes alumni to the Alumni Celebration marking the 225th Anniversary of Franklin & Marshall College
President Daniel R. Porterfield welcomes alumni to a celebration of all Reunion classes. The F&M Alumni Association will honor our most distinguished alumni at the celebration. Evelyn Farkas '89 will receive the Alumni Citation for professional acheivement and the Alumni Medal will be presented to Art Taylor '80 and Tony Ross '91 for outstanding service to the College. Cheer on your fellow classmates as class reflections, gifts and awards are presented. Share the F&M spirit!

1-3 p.m. IMPACT, Inc. Official Launch
Join IMPACT, Inc. for its official launch and introduction to F&M and the Lancaster Community. IMPACT is dedicated to raising the retention and graduation rates of young men of color at institutions of higher education. Distinguished alumni Art Taylor '80 and Tony Ross '91, as well as Kent Trachte, will be honored at the event.

1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Reunion Alumni Forums
A wonderful opportunity to hear fellow alumni discuss their career paths, interests, travel and hobbies. Feel free to move in and out of each series of presentations.

  • 1:30 p.m. Recent Breakthroughs on Our Understanding of the Universe, Michael Mumma ’63 Astrophysicist, Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA.
  • 2 p.m. Heart Disease – A growing epidemic among men and women over the age of 40. Dr. Stephen Sinatra '68, founder of the New England Heart and Longevity Center, author and advisor for the research and development of nutritional supplements. He is the author of the study of “earthing,” a principal of good health states that by walking barefoot you allow your body to draw in the Earth’s electrons that can decrease inflammation, lower stress and increase calmness.
  • 2:30 p.m. The Promise and Peril of the Education Reform Movement Today, Patrick McGuinn, Ph.D., ’93, Author, Associate Professor of Political Science and Education, Drew University. Author of No Child Left Behind and the Transformation of Federal Education Policy, 1965-2005. Dr. McGuinn’s presentation will provide an overview of the Obama administration’s education policies and the contemporary school reform movement.
  • 3 p.m. Jeff Cohen '88, Songwriter and recording artist. Come listen to Jeff talk about his journey to songwriting and music industry success, and how he used his F&M education as a springboard for his success. He will also play some of his most successful songs and answer any questions about the music industry. 

1:30 – 2:30 p.m.  Leveraging Social Media to Achieve Your Goals: LinkedIn, Twitter and Beyond.  
In this program, presented by the Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development, you will learn how to build a strong professional social media profile, discover the best ways to network with the 11,000+ F&M alumni and students and related groups using LinkedIn, and receive answers to your social media questions. 

1:30 p.m. Little Dippers Carnival
Create your own F&M banners. Have fun with face painting, games and entertainment, and enjoy snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy for kids of all ages. Young and old meet Pipper the clown – maker of the best balloon animals!

1:30 p.m. Class of 1958 Gathering and Sharing Stories.
Join fellow members of the Class of 1958 for an opportunity to gather together to reminisce and share life stories.

1:30 - 4 p.m. Campus Open House
Campus is open. Feel free to visit some of the newest buildings on campus or just walk through the some of those buildings that bring back memories of your years at F&M.

2 – 3 p.m. The F&M Poll and Opinion Research
Terry Madonna, Director of the F&M poll, and Angela Knittle '03, Senior Project Manager, invite you to a tour of F&M's survey and market research facility, including its 40 station call center and state of the art focus group facility. After the tour, Terry and Angela will discuss the F&M poll, the longest running political poll in Pennsylvania, plus get highlights of the Institute's services.

2 - 3:30 p.m. Sports, Your Way . . .
Grab your classmates or family and head to Buchanan Park for a pick-up game of volleyball, baseball or basketball. Organize your own game, we will provide the equipment.

2 – 4 p.m. Class of 1963 ZBT Gathering
Join ZBT fraternity brothers from the class of 1963 for an informal gathering and tour of the Klehr Center for Jewish Life with Ralph Taber, Director and Associate Dean of the College.  

2 - 6 p.m. Phi Kappa Sigma Open House & BBQ
Phi Kappa Sigma is happy to welcome back its alumni and invites them overfor a tour of the house. Please join us in our fourth annual summer BBQ for the entire brotherhood.

Drop in and reminisce! The Winterstein family has graciously agreed to open their home, formerly the fraternity house of Phi Sigma Kappa. Bill Curtis '61 will be on hand to greet returning alums.

Bring your favorite bottle of wine or two , cover the bottle and prepare to have some tasting fun. Rate your personal favorite. No judging, just a great opportunity to try new wines and talk with classmates. 

3 – 4 p.m.  F&M Alumni Partnerships Mentorship Reception
Interested in participating in an alumni mentorship program?  Join us! This exciting new program pairs F&M alumni for a 6-month mentorship experience.  Current participants will gather to celebrate their mentorship experience while interested mentees and mentors can learn more and register for the next cycle, which begins in September.

4:30 – 6 p.m. President's Reception
President Daniel R. Porterfield, Ph.D. and his family host a reception in their home celebrating the College's milestone, the 225th anniversary of its founding, for all Reunion alumni and their families. The “Reunion Weekend” trolley will provide transportation to this wonderful gathering.

6-6:30 p.m. Class of 1953 Tour of Barshinger Life Sciences & Philosophy Building
Richard A. Fluck, Associate Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations, retired professor of Biology will lead the Class of 1953 on a tour through the Barshinger Life Sciences & Philosophy building.

6:00-7:00 p.m. 2008 Senior Class Gift Celebration - Arches at Klauder Apple Walkway
Join fellow classmates and grab a glass of champagne.  Members of the Class of 2008 will toast and celebrate the completion of your senior class gift to Franklin & Marshall College – the Arches at Klauder Appel Walkway.  Thank you Class of 2008 for creating a beautiful space on campus for students, alumni and guests!

6:30 p.m. Reunion Class Dinners for Classes of Nevonians – 2008
For many, this is the high point of the weekend! Enjoy a celebratory dinner with classmates and special guests, relive your fondest memories and reconnect all over again.

  • Class of 2003 - Classmate Lee Edwards '03 will delight the class with his bluesy-rock musical talents during this celebratory dinner.
     

9 – 11:30 p.m. Party on the Green
The biggest weekend party; whether you are dancing to the sounds of The Party Dolls or just sitting back enjoying the Reunion “beverages” and delicious desserts the tent on Hartman Green is the place to be. The Party Dolls will play music from the 60’s through the ‘90’s – something for everyone!

8 p.m. – Midnight  Rustoleum in Steinman College Center
Rustoleum is composed of F&M Alumni who began entertaining us in 1968 and continued to perform together through 1998. Their music, in addition to original material, ranges from Everly Bros to Grateful Dead, Van Morrison to Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry to Roy Rogers. The band will be welcoming other musical F&M alumni to sit in with the band. Dust off your dancing shoes.

9 p.m. Phi Kappa Sigma Social
Join members of Phi Kappa Sigma for an social gathering in celebration of Reunion.

  • Parking is available in the lots adjacent to College Square and Tylus Field, as well as Lot E to the west of Benjamin Franklin Hall off of Race Ave. Parking is also available along College, Harrisburg and Race Aves. If you choose to park on the street, please watch for street-cleaning and permit parking signs.

    Those staying in on-campus accommodations may park in Lot G, west of Weis College House, and Lot F behind Benjamin Franklin Hall.

    Please note: The lot located behind College Row Retailers is reserved for customers patronizing those businesses. Violators will be towed. The College strongly suggests that you make use of other available parking.
