The Accelerated Degree Option (ADO) provides a small number of outstanding students the opportunity to achieve the Bachelor of Arts degree in three years. Students apply for the ADO after completing their first semester at Franklin & Marshall. ADO students complete the same requirements as all other students. A special faculty adviser assigned to the ADO cohort will work closely with each student to plan courses and summer plans; the program adviser complements the student's academic adviser. With careful advising, ADO students may participate in the same special opportunities afforded traditional students, such as summer international travel courses and noncredit summer research projects. Information on application procedures is provided to the first-year class during the fall semester.
