Transfer Application Instructions & Check-list
To complete an application for transfer admission to Franklin & Marshall College, please submit the following application materials by the appropriate priority deadline: May 1 for fall term applications or November 15 for spring term applications. Applications completed after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a space-available basis.

Official College Transcripts
Transcripts must be submitted for all post-secondary coursework, even if completed at multiple institutions
Request that your institution(s) mail an official transcript directly to F&M's Office of Admission: Franklin & Marshall College, Office of Admission, P.O. Box 3003, Lancaster, PA 17604‐3003. We cannot accept your transcript from you; it must be mailed directly to us from the host institution
Secondary School (High School) Transcript
A final high school transcript must be mailed directly from the secondary institution. Please mail to F&M's Office of Admission: Franklin & Marshall College, Office of Admission, P.O. Box 3003, Lancaster, PA 17604‐3003.
Standardized Test Scores (SAT/ACT)
If scores are not available on your secondary school transcript, you must request that official results be forwarded from the Educational Testing Service (SAT) or the American College Testing Service (ACT) to Franklin & Marshall College. F&M’s SAT code number is 2261; ACT is 3574
The report may be completed online through the Common Application process by visiting the "Assign Recommenders" section of your online application. You may invite a Registrar to complete the form online
If your institution requires a hard copy, it can be downloaded and submitted to F&M by mail
A Letter of Recommendation from a College Professor
The recommendation may be submitted electronically by completing the Common Application process. For more information, visit the "Assign Recommenders" section of your application.
If a professor prefers to submit a paper copy, he or she can send the letter directly to the following address: Franklin & Marshall College, Office of Admission, P.O. Box 3003, Lancaster, PA 17604-3003
Mid-Term Grade Report
If currently completing college-level coursework at another institution, you will be required to submit a Mid-term Report. To download the form, visit the "Assign Recommenders" section of the Common Application.
The fee may be paid electronically by completing the Common Application online
F&M does not grant fee waivers to transfer applicants
F&M will meet 100% of institutionally-determined financial aid need for admitted transfer students throughout the duration of full time study. If you intend to apply for need-based financial aid, the following documents must be submitted BEFORE your admission application can be considered complete and ready for review.
If applying for aid, check “Yes” on your application following the question, “Do you intend to pursue need-based financial aid?”

After completing the CSS College PROFILE, The College Board will email you instructions on how to submit tax documents electronically through the IDOC system (http://idoc.collegeboard.com)
For International Applicants
F&M accepts transfer applications from international students. International applicants must submit complete original academic credentials as part of the application process; photocopies or scanned documents may be submitted as unofficial documentation, but admission will not be granted to any applicant with unofficial academic records. The TOEFL, IELTS or other recognized test of English language ability is required for students whose native language is not English. However, this requirement is waived if a student has been studying in an English speaking environment for at least 3 years. There is no financial aid available for international transfer students.
