Franklin & Marshall College Franklin & Marshall College

What is Beginnings?

Beginnings is a one-day program designed to help you feel more comfortable about starting your first year at F&M. You can think of it as your first official activity as a Franklin & Marshall student. During the day, you will complete important tasks that are part of getting ready for the first year of college. You can also expect to meet some of your new classmates (including members of your college house), a few current students, the faculty don and dean of your college house, and faculty members who will talk with you about the curriculum. In addition, the day offers opportunities for you to learn more about programs and activities that interest you.

Beginnings 2014 will be offered on the following days:

Monday, May 12 (students and families on-campus)

Wednesday, May 14 (students and families on-campus)

Beginning Friday, May 16, students who are unable to attend Beginnings on Monday or Wednesday will have the ability to access Beginnings content online.  Students and parents will be able to view an online version of most things that occur at the on-campus Beginnings.

Each student is assigned a preferred Beginnings date, which will be communicated in a welcome email sent to the student's personal email account.
