Sustainability Week 2012

  • esf1439
  • esf1380

This year, Sustainability Week took place from April 16-20th and included an array of exciting and eco-friendly events. Some of the most popular events included a city-wide TeamWork trash clean-up with the sports teams of F&M, a free Fair Trade Café (normally a $4 venture every Wednesday during the schoolyear), a common hour conducted by esteemed environmentalist and world-renowned "Green Collar Economist" Van Jones, and a demonstration of the creative minds of several students in the 3rd Annual F&M "Trashion Show," (shown below) wherein contestants fashion a piece of dressware out of everyday trash items in an effort to woo the judges with their creativity and show their passion for sustainability by (literally) wearing it on their sleeves.
