Principles of nervous system function from the molecular through the organ system level as illustrated by the vertebrates and invertebrates. Approximately one-half of the course covers basic cellular principles of nervous system organization, development and physiology. The remaining lectures consider the role of functionally identified neural networks in the control of behavior.
