Lynn Matluck Brooks is the Arthur and Katherine Shadek Humanities Professor. She founded the Franklin & Marshall Dance Program in 1984, and she teaches modern dance, ballet, movement analysis, dance history, dance writing, and Foundations (Movement & Meaning.) Brooks holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Temple University. She is also a Certified Movement Analyst and she has held grants from the Fulbright/Hayes Fellowship program, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. In 2007, she was the recipient of the Bradley R. Dewey Award for Outstanding Scholarship at F&M.

Dean Godin helps give life to the Brooks House community.  He works very closely with Brooks House Congress members to think of and organize meaningful house events, he funds Brooks House lunches for upper class students, and his passion for film makes him always up for a good discussion about a recent movie you have seen. Dean Godin’s finest attribute, however, is how personable he is.  He develops close relationships with nearly all the first-years, house advisors, and former Brooks House residents.  He is easily accessible, and is always willing to offer advice, or just be there for students to talk to.
