What to expect:
New Student Orientation begins with Move-in Day, August 27, and ends the afternoon of September 1. Your first day of classes is September 2. You will receive a personalized Orientation schedule in your check-in packet which you will receive at the ASFC on August 27.
At Orientation, you will meet your dorm HA and other students in your House and Connections course, learn all about college policies and safety, and have tons of fun! One important aspect of New Student Orientation is selecting and registering for classes for the Fall. This will take place after you meet with your Academic Advisor. You will meet your advisor during sessions that are built into the New Student Orientation schedule. There will be plenty of time at Orientation to purchase your books and locate where your classrooms will be.
Your House Deans, Dons, and Orientation Planning Directors have arranged a program that will prepare you for a successful year at F&M.
