Our Services

Facilities Management at F&M is committed to keeping the campus a safe, clean, and sustainable place to explore, experience, and engage. We're committed to providing excellent customer service that focuses on sustainable practices while balancing campus safety initiatives with sound resource management. 

Facilities Management is the largest F&M department with almost 100 dedicated employees. The team comprises several key service areas:

  • Custodial services
  • Grounds and landscaping
  • Keys and locks
  • Mail and warehouse services
  • Maintenance service expertise in carpentry, electric, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanics
  • A service response center
  • Utilities and infrastructure

These teams maintain and service: 

  • 81 buildings, totaling approximately 1,650,000 gross square feet
  • 176 College-owned acres plus Buchanan Park owned by the City of Lancaster
  • 6,000 plants and 1,000 trees
  • 35 service vehicles and 25 riding mowers, tractors, and plows
  • 4 green roof installations
  • 325 restroom facilities, including 750 toilets, 700 sinks, and 350 showers
  • 1 Olympic-sized swimming pool
  • Over 1,000 residence hall fan coil units
  • Over 300 light posts
  • 20,000 packages and 125,000 letters processed annually
  • F&M’s boiler house, chilled water plant, and switchgear
