Go to Graduate School

Continuing your education is a fantastic next step to advance yourself both personally and professionally. Career Services provides several resources to guide you through the process, including:

  • Graduate School Coaching Appointments
  • Graduate School Fair
  • Graduate School Information Sessions
  • Admission Test Preparation

Graduate school coaching appointments: Partner with a career coach to determine if and when graduate school is most applicable to you. Many graduate programs require a few years of work experience, which enhances your credentials as a candidate for admission. Review your application materials to maximize your chances of receiving an acceptance letter.  Mock interviews are also available to practice specific professional school interview questions.

Graduate School Fair: Meet and interact with more than 100  graduate and professional programs from around the globe. Open to all F&M students, alumni, and community members.

Graduate School Information Session: In 2010, five top graduate programs of international affairs addressed specifics about their programs and how to apply a graduate degree to a career in public service.  Attendees included: Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs; Georgetown University, The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service; Johns Hopkins University, The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies; Princeton University, The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs; and Tufts University, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.  Watch for emails about 2001/12 information sessions.

Franklin & Marshall also offers pre-professional advising for students interested in law school, med school or teaching.

Admission and test preparation: Kaplan offers discounted test preparation courses on campus.
