Carly left behind sailing, ice climbing and skiing in Northern New England to come to F&M, where she lived in the Murray Arts House, worked at Ben's Underground, and won the Barbara Nelson Award for Distinction in Writing.
Since moving to Pennsylvania, Carly went native in true Lancaster County style--joining PASA in support of sustainable agriculture and farmer's markets and riding 25 mile fundraising bike rides. She learned the meaning of the term, "humidity" while working through graduate school on an Amish farm shearing sheep and caring for buggy horses. Carly also moved within urban school districts in Lancaster city doing graduate research and began working in college admissions in 2007, rejoining F&M as an Admission Counselor in 2010.
