Second City's "DeFace the Nation"

LANCASTER, Pa. - A performance of "DeFace the Nation" by Second City Theatricals will open the 2008-09 Theater Horizons season at Franklin & Marshall's Roschel Performing Arts Center. The group will perform on September 1 and 2 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $10 for F&M employees, and $15 for off-campus patrons and can be purchased at www.fandm.edu/boxoffice.xml or by calling 717-358-4858.

The event is co-sponsored by the F&M Votes Coalition, which organizes non-partisan voter education, registration and "get out the vote" drives, and lectures designed to emphasize the importance of active citizenship.

"DeFace The Nation" is Second City's all-political revue with customized comedy for the election year.  Featuring scenes and songs that poke fun at both political parties and a variety of pundits--Second City proves there's no shortage of comedy coming out of Washington, D.C. in this or any year.  From Bush to Clinton to Obama to the other Clinton, "DeFace The Nation" is a hilarious romp through the Beltway and beyond.
