Franklin & Marshall will celebrate Constitution Day on Thursday, Sept. 17 with members of the faculty, staff and student body giving a public reading of the Constitution of the United States. The event, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled to begin at noon in the atrium of the Steinman College Center.

Feminists Robin Morgan and Ariel Levy will kick off Franklin & Marshall's yearlong 40th Anniversary of Coeducation celebration with a presentation titled "Intergenerational Feminism" on Wednesday,Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Roschel Performing Arts Center. A book signing will follow the event.

Award-winning photojournalist David Clark will discuss "Engaged Photojournalism: An International Perspective" on Friday, Oct. 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall College's Joseph International Center on College Avenue. Clark will be accompanied by his colleague He Chang, a Shanghai-based photojournalist.

Diane Rosenfeld to Discuss Standing Up for Sexual Respect Oct. 14 at Franklin & Marshall  Diane Rosenfeld, a lecturer on law at Harvard School of Law, will discuss "Standing up for  Sexual Respect" on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. in Stahr Auditorium Stager Hall. The event is part of Franklin & Marshall's yearlong 40th Anniversary of Coeducation celebration as well as the College's Annual Week Without Violence.

Franklin and Marshall will celebrate foreign creativity this fall with a medley of films during its annual  French/Francophone Film Series, sponsored by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the French Ministry of Culture, and the Center for Liberal Arts and Society.
Each film will be shown at 7 p.m. in Stahr Auditorium, Stager Hall, and is free and open to the public.

Stanley Brandes, professor of anthropology at University of California Berkeley, will discuss "The American Pet Cemetery: Canines and Cats as Kin" on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall's Stager 216. 

Maria Tatar, Loeb Professor of Germanic Languages an Literature, and chair of the Folklore and Mythology program at Harvard University, will discuss "New Interpretational Approaches to Reading Fairy Tales" on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Stahr Auditorium, Stager Hall.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh will give "A Report from Washington" on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall's Barshinger Center for the Musical Arts in Hensel Hall.

Sister Maruca Cypriano Lancerio, founder of "The Women's Project" in Guatemala, will discuss "After the Violence in Guatemala: Women's Cooperatives as Sowers of Hope" on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall's Stahr Auditorium, Stager Hall. The talk, sponsored by the Center for Liberal Arts & Society, the Ware Institute and the Economics Department, is free and open to the public. Sr. Maruca Cypriano Lancerio is a Mayan woman and member of the Sisters of the Holy Family, a Catholic community of women in Guatemala.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nicholas Kristof will give a public lecture titled "Half the Sky" Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall's Center for Musical Arts. The talk is part of the college's Human Rights Awareness Week

Franklin & Marshall will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with an all-day "Novemberfest Symposium" on Saturday, Nov. 7. The symposium will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Joseph International Center on College Avenue.
