Author Fatou Diome to Present Reading Feb. 7 at Franklin & Marshall
Author Fatou Diome will present a reading of her works on Thursday, February 7 at 8 p.m. in Franklin & Marshall's Philadelphia Alumni Writers House. The reading, sponsored by the Center for Liberal Arts and Society, the Central Pennsylvania Consortium, and the Philadelphia Alumni Writers House, is free and open to the public.
Diome, a Senegalese native now living in France and teaching at the University of Strasbourg, will read from her first novel, The Belly of the Atlantic, in which she explores the relationship between France and Africa in a style influenced by the traditional oral literature of Africa.
