College Identification Cards Policy

All employees of the College are required to have a photo identification card, issued free of charge, as soon as they begin working at Franklin & Marshall. The spouse or same-sex domestic partner of a College employee or retiree, and a College employee's dependent children ages 12 through 18 (or through age 22 if a full-time student), may also receive an ID card.

For a member of the faculty or professional staff, a College retiree, or an eligible dependent to receive a College ID card, an authorization form must be obtained from Human Resources and signed by a Human Resources representative. This form is then to be brought, along with photo ID, to the Auxiliary Services Office, located on the first floor of the Steinman College Center. The same authorization form can be used by an employee or retiree to obtain an ID for eligible dependents.

ID cards should be carried at all times while on campus. ID cards are needed for admission to the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center, most campus athletic and cultural events, for Business Office transactions, and for borrowing books and/or materials from the library or equipment from Mayser Gym.

ID cards, including all those issued to dependents, must be returned to Human Resources at the time employment ends.
