Creating Partnerships, Dissolving Boundaries

Lancaster is one of Franklin & Marshall's greatest assets-a small, vibrant city boasting a lively cultural scene and myriad opportunities for students to live, learn and serve.

Franklin & Marshall College values its relationship to the Lancaster community and strives to communicate openly about initiatives that may affect its neighbors.

Some efforts have created new academic opportunities—such as our partnerships with the Clinic for Special Children, Lancaster General Hospital and the Millport Conservancy—dissolving boundaries between College and community. Others are improving the quality of life on and around campus. We have worked with our partners to create attractive, safe neighborhoods where students, faculty and staff now live.

The result is a more stable community that will afford residents and students a higher quality of life.
