Algorithm Visualization: QuickTime® Movies to illustrate algorithms from computational geometry.
The portal gives the scope of this project, and access to over 150 QuickTime movies illustrating algorithms from computational geometry. A summary of this six-year project was published: "Visualization of Algorithms from Computational Geometry using QuickTime® Movies," 2007 Scientific Journals International: Journal of Mathematical Sciences 1(1), [online journal; no page number].
The work has been published or presented at: "MetaMedia," an Apple Congress for Higher Education, Berlin, June, 2000; ITiCSE, Helsinki, July, 2000; EdMedia '01, Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia, Tampere, Finland, June 2001; and "From Algorithm to animation: the Sequel," 2003 MacTech 19(7)m 32ff.
Deprecated: QuickTime movies to illustrate algorithms from computer science and computational mathematics. This includes work presented for the EdMedia '95 conference, Graz, Austria, June 1995; the article "From Algorithm to Animation," 1993 9(11), 20ff; and the illustration of optimization algorithms, EdMedia '98, Freiburg, Germany, June 1998.
Obsolete: Software for visualizing data structures and their changes throughout the lifetime of an algorithm. MacGAIGS was the name of this software.
