"Teaching the Atlantic Slave Trade"
Keynote lecture: Professor Marcus Rediker, University of Pittsburgh, and author of "The Slave Ship: A Human History"

Break-out sessions led by CPC faculty to share pedagogical methods for teaching the Atlantic slave trade. Specific topics include: "African origins-American destinations," "Artistic depictions of the Middle Passage," "Mapping the AST," and "The Atlantic Slave Trade in Film."
