David Stameshkin Emergency Fund
David Stameshkin’s passion for aiding students in need has earned him both the admiration and gratitude of countless students, alumni, parents and colleagues.
In that same spirit, the DAVID STAMESHKIN EMERGENCY FUND is being created to provide need-based financial assistance to F&M students experiencing financial challenges. Monies will be granted by the Dean of the College to students whose families are unable to cover the expenses otherwise. Examples include:
- Funds to allow a student to return home in the event of a family emergency.
- Funds to provide coats and other warm clothing for a student from a warm climate living for the first time in an area with freezing temperatures.
- Funds to allow students to take coursework that requires them to own specialized equipment, such as courses in photography.
- Funds to provide disability testing for students with potential learning disabilities.
The goal is to raise $50,000 or more, so the fund can be endowed in perpetuity – as a lasting reminder of David’s many contributions on the F&M campus.
