American Cancer Society Colleges Against Cancer is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society in college communities. With this request form for reactivation, Colleges Against Cancer at Franklin & Marshall College (further referred to as Colleges Against Cancer or CAC) is hoping to rejoin the hundreds of chapters nationwide and help show the world that young people care and want to make a difference in the fight against this disease. Colleges Against Cancer chapters focus their efforts on four strategic directions – advocacy, cancer education, Relay For Life, and survivorship. Throughout the academic year, CAC will advance these strategic directions through campus-held events, fundraisers, awareness initiatives and campaigns with the intention of garnering social awareness,! gaining support, and raising funds towards the treatment and eventual cure of this deadly disease that has affected and continues to affect millions of Americans every day.
