Registration Tips for Students

Tip 1

The Advising period will remain the same -- you will still need an advising code, so make an appointment to meet with your adviser to discuss your course choices as soon as possible.

Tip 2

Course registration will be in REAL TIME. You will know immediately if you have a seat in a course or not.

Tip 3

You will need to know the CRN (Course Reference Number) for a course in order to enroll in it. This is different than the course id.

Tip 4

Groups of students, beginning with rising Seniors, will have access to the registration system for a limited amount of time. Be sure you know when you can access the system.

Tip 5

Plan your ideal schedule and submit those CRNs at the same time to maximize your chances of getting seats in those courses. Pay close attention to time conflicts.

Tip 6

Pre-requisites for courses will be checked and students without pre-requisites will not be able to register for the course.

Tip 7

Tutorials, Quick Tips, and Screen shots for the registration process are available on the Registrar's website.

Tip 8

You may drop and add courses at the same time on your registration worksheet.

Tip 9

You will be able to place yourself on a waitlist for a course that is closed and will receive an email notification when a seat is available for you to add.
