Mission Statement:

“The Center for Teaching and Learning provides a variety of programs and resources both to promote love of learning and encourage student engagement.”

Summary:

Hobart & William Smith's Center for Teaching and Learning is an excellent example of a combined model, or a center that combines support systems for faculty and students under one umbrella. The staff at HWS believe it is impossible to promote the growth of one independently from the other. This is a unique model in comparison to the other three the Faculty Centers Advisory looked at and presented at the Kick-Off Event.
