Between May 19 and August 15, 2014, the College will host a series of conferences, camps and workshops. Extensive use of College facilities will mean that we will need to hire a number of students to assist in the management of these programs.
Schedule of work:
Begin Monday, May 19, and finish Friday, August 15, 2014. You must be available to work the entire duration of this period.
$7.25 per hour. Average hours per week will be 35-40. There is no guarantee that you will work 40 hours per week. Some weeks, especially in early June, there may be slow times. However, from mid-June to early August it will be busy. Over the summer, you may reasonably expect to work approximately 350 - 400 hrs.
All meals will be provided in the Dining Hall, beginning Monday, June 9 through Saturday, August 9, 2014. Meals are free of charge.
On campus housing is provided free of charge.
Evening and Weekends:
You must be available to work evenings and weekends as you will be frequently scheduled at these times.
These include but are not limited to: registration of guests; staffing the Conference and Events Office; staffing special areas when in use by guests (Baker Campus; College Center, Alumni Sports & Fitness Center, Barshinger Center); general utility work (running errands, moving furniture, setting up rooms, moving and operating a/v equipment, sorting linens). You may specialize in some particular job but at no time will you do the same job every day.
