Office of College Programs Office Assistant: Student(s) needed to help support the office staff. This job’s primary focus is on professional customer service and confidentiality. For this position you will greet students coming into the office to use the Resource Room or to see one of the staff members. Students will also keep the resource room clean and stocked with supplies, hang banners in the atrium, post flyers in the kiosk around campus, retrieve and disburse mail, copying, going to the business office to drop off envelopes to employees, assisting CEC or the manager staff with set-up needs as needed, and filing. Ben’s Underground Staff Member: Ben’s Underground is a student founded, student run organization. We have a staff of people who run the facility every night. They are in charge of making food, delivering food, handling purchases and overseeing the cleanliness of the kitchen and customer area. If you have the passion, drive, and enthusiasm to be a part of a unique undergrad experience at F&M, then Ben’s is for you. Ben’s Underground Executive Position: In 1984, Ben’s Underground was founded by a group of students who wanted to create a student space, a place that was unique: where you could hang with your friends, grab some eats and find good entertainment. Each Executive board member is crucial to the success of Ben’s Underground as they are primarily responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the facility. College Entertainment Committee Board Member: The CEC is organized, in collaboration with the Office of College Programs, to plan, promote, present, evaluate, and support through collaborative effort a wide and well-balanced variety of high-quality, diverse entertainment and late-night alternatives in the interests of the Franklin & Marshall College community. The organization shall attempt to exceed the educational, cultural, and social standards of the College in programming its events and to promote the development of students’ leadership abilities and skills through involvement in the professional atmosphere of the Committee.
College Entertainment Committee President: CEC President is responsible for oversight of the executive board, which consists of 3 event planners and a publicity chair. The President divides the allocated budget between events and is in charge of oversight of the budget throughout the semester. Also, the president manages the execution of all CEC events. The President is the point of contact for the rest of the campus, including the representative for the Diplomatic Congress' biweekly meetings.
