International Programs Office Assistant: Day and Evening Positions Student(s) needed for clerical and office work. This job's primary focus is on professional customer service and confidentiality. Students will be staffing the front desk as a receptionist greeting visitors (current students, prospective students, parents), answering and transferring phone calls, making appointments for four administrators, responding to student questions, and making referrals to other offices. Students will pick up and distribute the mail from the College Post Office. Other duties, clerical and physical, include assisting with the international flags, restocking the in-house library, and loading/ emptying the dishwasher. Comfort level with Meeting Maker, Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. Students who have prior telephone and office experience will be preferred. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Evening hours are Monday – Thursday, 4:30 -8:00 pm. Evening duties include: assisting groups in use of the International Center and closing the International Center for the night ensuring building security. International Ambassador: The Office of International Programs is hiring 5 International Ambassadors for the 2011-2012 academic year. Students must have participated in an F&M credit-bearing summer, semester or academic year program off-campus to be eligible for the position. International Ambassadors work closely with the Assistant Dean and will liaise with College Houses and other on-campus organizations to promote off-campus study to first-year and second-year students. Additionally, Ambassadors will assist the Office of International Programs in programming and activities for returned off-campus study participants as well.
